D Y Hide
D Y Hide is a writer and artist.
She rediscovered her artistic Muse with a local art show at Titchfield in Hampshire in 2014, and has been exhibiting across the land ever since, at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA), Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (MIWAS), and the Society of Feline Artists (SOFA), to name a few. She is hoping to add UKCPS to the list for 2015.
This year, she is demonstrating (peacefully) at the Titchfield Art Show. She will also be displaying her skills with a pencil at the annual UK Colouring Pencil Society Exhibition in London on 9 May and running drawing and painting workshops with the Southampton Arts Society in June. She will be back in the MIWAS Art Market over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
She accepts commissions and is very happy to draw/paint your close relation or family pet though, in most situations, she would prefer to work from her own sketches and photos.
D Y Hide supports a number of animal charities through the sale of her work, namely the Fox Project, the Hare Preservation Trust, the Scottish Wildcat Haven and the Hawk Conservancy Trust. So, if you’re looking for a selection of inspirational gifts, cards and fine art prints, consider a visit to Etsy or Society6, where you can buy a selection of products, ranging from cushion covers to phone skins!
You can currently see more of her work in both wet and dry media on display in Feathers Restaurant at the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover.
